When the outside humidity is very high most would assume that opening the window will not help to reduce the humidity inside your home. Humidity is affected by temperature. As the temperature of the air rises, the relative humidity falls. So if you open your window the cold humid air from outside will enter inside, but when it comes back up to temperature it may be less humid than the air was inside.

Try to keep inside humidity in the range of 40-60%.
